A Mindful Meander: Guided High Elevation Hike (Waterrock Knob Visitor Center - Milepost 451)
Park Event · Blue Ridge Parkway · Oct 22, 2026 · 10:45 AM–12:15 PM

Do you ever get so caught up in the excitement about the destination of your hike that you forget to enjoy the journey? Come join us for a relaxed-pace guided hike where the journey becomes the focus and we learn to explore the trail in new ways.
The hike will be approximately 1.2 to 2 miles out and back, depending on which trail the ranger chooses to feature. All trails at Waterrock make for a strenuous hike on rocky terrain. Expect the trail to be slick, especially if there has been dense fog or rain recently.
You must wear closed-toed shoes appropriate for a trail walk. Please bring water and rain gear in case of a turn in the weather. If there is light rain, the hike will continue if everyone is sufficiently prepared. In the event of thunder or other dangerous conditions, the hike will be canceled.
