David Boye is scheduled to perform original music inspired by our national parks. David Boye is a musician, composer, and National Park Artist in Residence whose instrumental guitar music is inspired by the infinite vistas and wonders of the natural world. His evocative compositions incorporate recordings of found sounds from National Parks, gathered during his travels throughout the United States. Come to hear his unique and uplifting program that weaves together his original music and the sounds of the wilderness. His performances invite audiences into the mystery, magnificence, and infinite allure of the wild— capturing the spirit and beauty of the American West.

David Boye has performed and taught an eclectic variety of music since the 1980s, pursuing his muse on multiple instruments wherever it took him. After graduating from UNL, inspired by his love of punk rock he relocated to Boston and toured along the east coast in clubs like CBGBs and The Rathskeller. After returning to Lincoln, he began a long association with legendary Lincoln songwriter Charlie Burton. More recently his musical path has taken him into more placid places of instrumental guitar music inspired by the infinite vistas of the natural world. Through a partnership with the National Park Service, he tours annually across the West presenting a unique program that presents the beauty of the natural world through music and words.
