Join Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve Rangers for a short presentation on the importance of bats, the night sky, and the ecology of bat habitats.

Watch expert rangers demonstrate how to safely capture live bats in front of the cave entrance and over the upper and lower ponds. Observe the safe extraction of bats from nets and learn how park scientists collect important data about the different bats that call Oregon Caves home.

There will be an opportunity for bat photography and acoustic telemetry demonstrations as well!

Bring a flashlight or headlamp and dress for cooler weather.
