Under Fire: The Battle of Harpers Ferry, 1862 (Cannon demonstration)

Join the Baltimore Light Artillery living history volunteers and park rangers on Bolivar Heights on Saturday, September 12th, for artillery firings at 1, 2, & 3 pm.

Witness the fear and intimidation of field artillery that allowed Confederate forces under Stonewall Jackson to capture the U.S. garrison. This program includes the firing of a replica Civil War cannon.

Please prepare children and pets for very loud noises.

Parking at Bolivar Heights is limited. A special park shuttle will run from the visitor center to Bolivar Heights and back from noon until 4:30.
