Adopt-a-Crag

Obed Wild & Scenic River and the East Tennessee Climbers Coalition (ETCC) are teaming up for the annual Adopt-a-Crag event on Saturday, September 12. Volunteers will help with trail maintenance, climbing access improvements, cleanup, and conservation projects throughout the park.

Parking

Parking is limited, so volunteers are encouraged to park at the Clear Creek parking lot (124 Doc Howard Road), within walking distance of the Lilly Pad, and carpool when possible.

What to Bring

• A sack lunch
• Snacks
• Water
• Long pants
• Closed-toed shoes
• Bug spray
• Sunscreen
• Gloves (recommended)
• Hand tools (recommended)

After the work is done, stick around to climb your favorite routes or enjoy other recreation in the park. Around 5 p.m. ET, ETCC will host a volunteer appreciation event at the Lilly Pad.
