Lunar Eclipse 2026

Join a ranger to view the 2026 lunar eclipse at the Saddlehorn Picnic Area parking lot. Eclipse coverage will be 96% and we'll have telescopes set up for you to get a closer look!

Please arrive 15 minutes early if you're driving, so that headlights don't affect everyone's night vision. Bringing pets is not recommended for safety concerns. Please bring a chair, water, and insect repellent.

If you're camping, we recommend walking. If you're coming from outside the park, please carpool if possible. The monument is open 24 hours a day. Please be careful while driving, as wildlife could be in the roadway.

This is a weather permitting event and may be cancelled in the event of thunderstorms.
